# PayrollRTI

> Free, open-source Mac app that runs HMRC's Basic PAYE Tools (BPT) on macOS Sequoia (15), Tahoe (26) and later, without the Terminal workaround in HMRC's help page. Not made or endorsed by HMRC.

## Key facts
- Problem: since macOS Sequoia, Basic PAYE Tools does not start properly. HMRC's official workaround uses Terminal commands, a window kept open, and Ctrl+C to stop.
- Fix: install PayrollRTI, then double-click it. It starts BPT's background service, opens BPT in a Mac window, and stops the service on quit.
- Data: everything runs locally. PayrollRTI sends no data anywhere.
- Works on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Signed and notarised by Apple.
- Cost: free. Licence: MIT.
- Latest version: 0.1.0
- For small employers using HMRC Basic PAYE Tools (fewer than 10 employees).
